The Lanka Council on Water Falls (LCWF) is a leading Non Government Organization (NGO), which has been working on Sri Lankan Waterfalls since November 2000. LCWF is mainly a membership-based organization of different professionals dedicated to environment and sustainable development. More than 1000 members (fulltime, associate, incentive, corporate and lifetime members national and international) are working on that with close co-ordination and support from the Sri Lanka Government and various international agencies.

Our primary goal is to create and advance public awareness of more than 382 Sri Lankan Waterfalls, to explore their potentialities and protect them from numerous threats by collective approach, preserving their natural beauty and environmental potentiality.

To achieve this goal our programmes are designed to build a stronger, better-educated, and more closely connected network of different professionals, who are committed to explore, preserve, develop and share the benefits of the Waterfalls among the Sri Lankan people.
