The 30m high Malmora Falls's name comes from Toddy. That is related to the word ‘Malmuraya’, which is in common usage amongst toddy tapers. In surroundings of the fall a naturalized tree named 'Kitul' (Caryota Urens) grow. The kitul tree grows in the wet zone. The tree blooms between a time spans of 8-10 years. Its flower is tapped 3-4 times a day for produce. Toddy tapers use a contraption called ’Weragata’ to climb the tree. Some of the products made from Kitul tree are 'Today Jaggery', honey and a brew called Telligge. In the past the toddy tapers had to guard the brew from animals. A rattrap had been fixed to kitual trees. Now days the threat comes from certain organized groups who raid the Kitul tree for theligge. Pilfering is frequent especially during thovil ritual ceremonies,

parties & funerals. The toddy tapers live in a cave located near the Kitul jungle to safe guard their trees.

The fall is in Lankagama village, Gall District, Hiniduma Electorate. To find the fall, trek upward for 2km from Lankagama Kekuma Falls.
